Pat Williams added to Pro Bowl
January 26th, 2007 – 3:49 PM by Judd ZulgadVikings nose tackle Pat Williams has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl team as the replacement for injured Chicago Bear Tommie Harris. Williams, the first alternate among NFC defensive tackles, will join Vikings tackle Kevin Williams on the squad.
Pat Williams was a key reason the Vikings were able to hold opponents to a team-record 985 rushing yards. That total is the second-lowest since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970. Williams had 59 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 14 quarterback hurries and five passes broken up this season.
The Pro Bowl will be played Feb. 10 in Hawaii. Vikings offensive linemen Matt Birk and Steve Hutchinson also will play in the game. The four representatives will be the Vikings’ most since 2003.

Better than any meat market I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot from Everett’s to Von Hansens.
I like Von Hansens, great selection, but not better than Lunds. I think they have one in Highland Park not far from Lunds.

Lunds is a little spendy though I think the 1 1/2 inch thick dry aged bone in rib eyes are around $20 a lb.

The best thing you have ever done for your self is quitting smoking. My plumber smoked 2-3 packs a day for over 30 years. Got lung cancer, they had to remove an entire lung. He was out of work for a year. He had quit smoking. Back at work, after a couple of weeks, there he is, sneaking a smoke in his van. Everybody on the job site scolded him, He ignored everybody and just kept smoking. He told me later that smoking make im feel better. No that is a serious addiction, a cancer patient with one lung still smoking.

7. Gaines Adams DE, Clemson : Coach Bland Childress definitely needs to add a wide receiver to his “Kick-Ass Offense” but the Wide Receiver class is so deep this year they can wait until round 2. So the Vikes add a pass rusher who can actually sack a quarterback.

Last week on ProFootbalTalk.com there was a snippet stating Grimm was actually told he had the job, then Goodell(sp?) stepped in and told the Rooneys that they were the ones that started the whole minority hiring issue and that they should hire Tomlin. And they did. If true, this smacks of racism in its own right. Either way, I’ll bet Tomlin was very happy to get out from under Little Napoleon’s regime.
