Practice squad update

September 6th, 2009 – 2:01 PM by Chip Scoggins

The Vikings haven’t released their eight-man practice squad yet but are expected to do so soon.

I’ve heard that they have signed offensive tackle Drew Radovich and that it’s likely that quarterback John David Booty also will clear waivers and be signed to the practice squad.

It sounds like the team also is hoping to sign running back Ian Johnson, cornerback Marcus Walker and tight end Jake Nordin.

We’ll post the names when we get them.

Does Judd or Chip have any information on where Antone Smith may have ended up? Would he be a candidate for CFL or Europe? I was very dissappointed that he was cut. Believe it or not his 4.31 seconds time in the forty was slow for him. He is very strong and can bench 330#
