Rosenfels discusses Favre

June 25th, 2009 – 5:36 PM by Chip Scoggins

Quarterback Sage Rosenfels made an appearance at Tim Dwight’s football camp in Iowa on Thursday and naturally was asked about Brett Favre.

Like he has all offseason, Rosenfels reiterated to the Cedar Rapids Gazette that he hasn’t been paying attention to the Favre speculation and that he’s focused on competing on for the starting job.

Rosenfels had an interesting quote when asked if the coaches have discussed the situation with the quarterbacks. Brad Childress said last week that he talked to the quarterbacks at the end of OTAs, but Rosenfels said the meeting was brief.

“Just a small discussion that Coach Childress discussed with all four quarterbacks,” he told the paper. “But it lasted about a minute and nothing significant.”

Didn’t Brad Johnson also have a similar experience with Coach Brads? Chilly indicated he had a long conversation with Johnson and it never happened? Our coach maybe is a bit kooked?

Oh well life is about competition even in the real world. Someone is always trying to take your job or steal your girl. Manup thats all I have to say.

I think the importance of the comment is the fact he said “4 QB’s” dont we only have 3 on the roster?

There was a RFA that has already been released, likely that is the fourth that Childress had a discussion with

Freds hopes Brent and Michael Jackson are really the same person. That way he won’t be wearing purple next season, or doing that dopey moon walk next year in the Metrodomes. It may not be as far fetched as you may think, have you ever seen them together at the same time?

JA ~ I’m with you…Next Friday would be perfect for the announcement…Brett would be the topic at a lot of “4″th of July parties in Minnesota and Wisconsin…

I heard that Favre bought a house in the Bearpath community (in Eden Prairie) yesterday. Can anyone confirm that?

Funny GLB heard about the Bearpath rumor. Fred can confirm Brent will be renting with an option to buy this property. http://www.mobilehomeparkstore.com/
