The media won’t be able to get a look at the Vikings going through their Organized Team Activities until Thursday but that doesn’t mean there is a complete lack of information.
Percy Harvin, the Vikings’ top draft pick, went through his first practice Tuesday and said afterward, “it’s a great feeling.” Mike Wobschall of the Vikings website (www.vikings.com) has the story of Harvin’s first day. Harvin, you’ll recall, missed the Vikings three-day rookie minicamp earlier this month after becoming sick. Here is a wrap-up of Day 1 from Wobschall’s blog.
Meanwhile, Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice writes about the start of OTAs on his blog. “Lots of questions about Percy Harvin our new receiver,” Rice writes. “Yes, we’re competing for the same position, but we’re teammates so I want to help him along so he can do his best and help us win games. Anything he needs, I’m going to be there for him. Having someone to look out for you when you come into the league is a big help. I had Troy Williamson, Robert Ferguson, Bobby Wade.”
While this week’s OTA are for rookies, free agents and selected veterans, we do know that quarterbacks Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels were in attendance today, as was John David Booty.
That explains a lot right there.

Monc Lives!!!!!!!!
Judd, why is they are mentioning the pioneer press and vikings update all the time on the nfl network and you don’t seem to get an honourable mention on air
I mean your stories in all fairness are to times better. The folks at the pp (pioneer) have less credit than pft
Sidney Rice seems to have knee proplems. Big target for the red zone though.
It would seem that Allison is the odd man out here
did he say “Troy williamson”?
