Add Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman and North Carolina wide receiver Hakeem Nicks to the list of players who reportedly will be at Winter Park on April 8-9 for pre-draft visits with the Vikings. Freeman, whose visit was first reported by Viking Update, is projected as a late first or second-round pick. Nicks, meanwhile, is projected as a second- or third-round selection. His visit was first reported by Pro Football Talk.
Nicks is the fifth receiver scheduled to visit. Here is the most up to date look at the list of players that reportedly will be coming to Winter Park. (Teams are allowed to play host to as many as 30 players.)
Update: Vikings coach Brad Childress and vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman were in attendance at Southern Cal’s Pro Day on Wednesday. Childress said he planned to talk to defensive end Kenechi Udeze while at the Pro Day. Udeze, who missed last season after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, has been working out at his alma mater but plans to take part in some of the Vikings’ offseason program. That program starts on Monday.
