Farwell to visit Patriots

Earlier today we wrote that linebacker Heath Farwell was going to be making a free-agent visit this week. Tonight, we found out Farwell’s destination. He will spend Tuesday visiting with the New England Patriots. Farwell will then visit with another unnamed club before returning to Minnesota. Farwell is a standout special-teams player — he didn’t play this past season because of a knee injury — but also wants a chance to compete for a linebacker spot. Farwell is an extremely hard worker and would seem to be a perfect fit for a Bill Belichick team.
