Ferguson update

November 5th, 2008 – 4:44 PM by Chip Scoggins

Vikings coach Brad Childress said wide receiver Robert Ferguson is dealing with a personal matter and is expected to return to town tonight. Childress said he was hoping to talk to Ferguson after practice.

Childress wouldn’t confirm that defensive end Jared Allen has a third-degree sprain of the AC joint in his right shoulder.

Regarding Allen’s hit on Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, Childress said he did not see anything dirty or inappropriate about it.

“When I looked at it on Monday morning I did not see it as illegal,” Childress said. “If you look at it, his foot slipped as he was coming back, as he went by the pile. I don’t know if he lost relationship with where the ball was or what. I just know he was trying to get back to his feet. I thought it was a good throw and a hustle play.”

The Vikings released their injury report. Allen obviously did not participate. Players with limited participation were safety Husain Abdullah (neck), linebacker David Herron (hip) and tight end Garrett Mills (ankle).

Packers players who had limited participation were quarterback Aaron Rodgers (right shoulder), offensive tackle Chad Clifton (knees) and cornerback Charles Woodson (toe).

Great blog, I cann see the interest in Queen football has declined considerably since last year. I guess being pereinnial losers will do that!

Jarred’s gonna play Sunday, right? He doesn’t need 2 arms to play. He’s like that knight in that old Monty Python movie where they chop his limbs off 1 at a time and he winds up a stump rolling toward his enemy trying to bite his ankles.

Why are you even here Puker? You’ve got a bad team, you live in a bad state, you’ve probably got a bad weight and drinking problem… why not be with your own kind on the Fudgepackers blog?

It’s hilarious BTW watching a fan of a 4-4 team calling himself “NFC North Champs”.

Well we are at home again this week, so I thought I would make myself at home on your pathetic blog.

You should call yourself “Former But Never Again NFC Champs Who Were Once QB’d By A Hall Of Fame QB Who Our Tard GM Gave Away Because He Preferred Gayrod Who Never Started A Game Before And Is Backed Up By 2 More QBs Who Never Started A Game Before.”

You’ve got a pretty pathetic defense too.

Do you really want to talk about QB’s?

I’m just saying you guys must be pretty happy your tard GM chased away the MVP runner-up from last year. If he hadn’t you might actually be the NFC North champs this year. It seems like your fellow bloggers aren’t all in agreement that this was a wise move, your blog hasn’t seemed like a very happy place this year. Lots of bad language.

I didn’t think so.

You don’t seem like you want to talk about Favre vs. Gayrod. 14-2 last year vs. probably 7-9 this year.

Your right, it’s not a happy place. Unlike you queens we find medicroity deplorable. 4-4’s not bad for your coach, eh?

How is Erin doing BTW with his “roommate” they talked about in the GB Gazette blog who he met in downtown GB and brought home and who he has a relationship that goes “much deeper than football”?

I would of liked to have kept Farve. The point is you have to have QB’s on the roster who can play. That’s why we drafted Brunell, Hasselback, Gayrod etc.. Whens the last time the Queens developed a QB. ‘99, Culpepper. Before that, who knows. MEMO TO THE VIKINGS: QUARTEBACK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION ON THE ROSTER, YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER AQUIRING A COUPLE OF THEM!

MEMO TO FOCKERS: QB IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITION ON THE ROSTER, YOU MAY WANT TO CONSIDER AQUIRING 1 OR 2 OR 3 THAT HAVE STARTED MORE THAN 8 GAMES.

I was just asking, you don’t have to get all defensive about it.

Look, I have enough problems with my cow as it is, I don’t need to hear it from a Vikings fan too. This is what I do for fun!

Raiders release CB DeAngelo Hall. Paid him $1 mil a game this year with that $7 mil signing bonus. Let’s see, do we know of a team that might need a cover corner? Not that giving a 10 yard cusion and making a tackle for an 8 yard gain is a bad thing…

kennyrogers says:

I heard DeAngelo can still play, he just got dumped by Al Davis like their Head Coach did. It seems like if a player signs with the Raiders, you just grab the money, play a little and get the heck out of there. Also, I see Kyle VanDenBosch is coming off IR. If the Texans want to see a dirty hit, they should see the crotch shot VanDenBosch put on Gus. It made me ache just watching it.

When they dropped the puck at the start of the second period of the hockey game up here last night suddenly a loud standing ovation erupted. It went on for a minute or so as the play continued. The whole stadium was standing and applauding in unison. The players didn’t know what was going on…

It was the scoreboard announcement. It had just confirmed the announcement of the election of President Obama
